A tuxedo shirt and either pants or a skirt from
Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda must be worn by every member of the Band, Strings and Jazz Ensembles.
Fittings for new uniforms are done at the school by Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda at the beginning of the school
year, and mid-year if necessary. Band members are notified by e-mail of the date(s).
Uniforms are delivered to the school and must be paid-in-full at pick-up. All checks must be made to
Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda.
Tuxedo shirts and pants/skirts can also be purchased "gently used" from another band member during a
scheduled sale. All proceeds go to the seller; there are no commissions or fees
to put clothing in the sale. Everyone may participate in selling or buying.
Tuxedo shirts are all the same, and not sold by gender. Sizing is best determined by trying a garment on,
or by being measured by Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda.
"Studs" are black button covers that should be worn, and are provided by Ambassadors Formalwear by Gilda.
Neckties and cummerbunds are handed out before each performance, and collected immediately afterward. The Department
of Instrumental Music purchases these items with fundraiser proceeds for the use of band members.
Buy everything just a little bit big to allow some room for growth.
