Uniform Fittings will be held August 28, at 7:30 a.m. in the band room. We must move quickly to get all students outfitted for concert performances. Pictured here is the correct uniform as worn. Also shown are acceptable shoes, with hem lengths for both skirts and pants.

We will have some type of concert every other month and every group will be featured as often as possible.

Though our uniforms are not expensive to purchase new, we offer a "gently used" sale each year before Street Formal Wear comes out to do the fittings. Anyone who has an outgrown item or outfit is welcome to put clothing in this sale. This year's sale is from August 18-27th. The cut-off date is firm; we do not compete with our uniform supplier, Street Formal Wear, who will be at school on August 28th to measure all students needing uniforms.

We ask sellers to send only items in like-new condition, and we suggest selling at half of retail. This gives the seller half toward a new item, and the buyer gets a bargain as well.

If you would like to post an item, send your information to me, then send the item to school and it will be kept in Mr. Clark's room for any interested student to try on, and for you to see.

Complete details are listed here on how to mark your item, and how the sale is conducted. We are very happy to provide this service for parents; please read the posted information completely and then let me know if there are any unanswered questions. We need to keep Mr. Clark's involvement to a minimum, as he is busy teaching during the day.

If you are a potential buyer, you should scan the webpage daily for new arrivals. Also, if you are on a really tight budget or have extenuating circumstances, and you need a little extra help, we have a few items in our store room that have been left over time or donated when a student graduated. If you are able to find something that fits your student in our storage room, the prices are $5.00 for shirts and $10.00 for pants or skirts. These are items that have been lost and not found, donated, or otherwise forgotten at least one year ago. They are all likely in like new condition, but these items would need to be cleaned. You may go by anytime during the school day and ask to look through these items for your child's size. If you do find something, please write a check to MHMS, and write on the for line IMBA uniform. The money will go into the band account just like fundraising dollars do.

Please do not send students in to look through storage room items or listed sale items EXCEPT BEFORE SCHOOL BEGINS IN THE MORNINGS. Parents are welcome to stop by when you can as long as you do not interrupt classes.

This sale will last only a short time. Mr. Street will be at our school on August 28 at 7:30 a.m. in the band room to measure and fit all students who need uniforms. The process will move quickly that morning, and all students should be on time.

IMBA furnishes the ties and cummerbunds. They are on loan to the student for the school year, returned at the end, and passed back out in the fall before the first concert. If a tie or cummerbund is lost or damaged, we will let you know the replacement cost.

Again, please read the information completely, and contact me with any questions. One question that always comes up is about the sizing of shirts: they are sized for boys and men, so you can't go by department store sizing for the ladies' shirts. Just try the shirts on till you find what you need.
